I am sending out a heartfelt “Thank You” to each and every one of Chris’ fans, friends & family. You all went above and beyond. I’ve learned how much Chris touched so many people from your wonderful cards and messages. Reading them brought a smile to my face, joy to my heart and tears to my eyes. We all are so lucky to have Chris in our hearts and he will live on forever through our Happy Memories and his Amazing Music.

Thank You All~ Fondly Julie Gaffney

The wide circle of family and friends speaks to the courage and dignity that Chris brought to life and song. Your heartwarming generosity is appreciated far beyond what words can express. Your kindness will help in so many ways.

Scores of people contributed, but not all gave their names. To all who expressed their love, concern and support, we are grateful.

Thank you so much to all who took the time to share their memories of Chris with us. We held vigil by his side, whispering prayers, lighting candles, expecting miracles. Your words are not only a comfort, but a source of strength for our family in this time of infinite sadness.

Helen Gaffney

Bro on the road

From the HB site:

Dave Gonzalez of the Hacienda Brothers will be touring this summer to celebrate the life of his friend and musical partner Chris Gaffney. The touring will be difficult yet cathartic for Gonzalez. There hasnt' been a tour in the past six years, since his days in the Paladins, that Gaffney hasn't been there right by his side. Yet there is no better way to honor the memory of Chris then to go out and play to the audience that loved him so. This will be a chance for all of Chris’ friends and fans to gather and pay tribute to one of the greatest American music performers in the past 20 years. Gonzalez will also be out supporting the release of the last studio album from the Hacienda Brothers titled Arizona Motel. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to helpgaff.com to aid the family of Chris Gaffney.

On April 17, 2008 Chris Gaffney passed away after his brief illness.

His departure was quick and painless with the support of Our loving family by his side.

Celebrations of his life are in the works. Please check back for updates. Your continuous support and donations are greatly appreciated and still needed to offset the financial burden of his medical care. From our family to yours, much love.

Your generosity, support and love is so overwhelming to our family.

Your amazing gifts have lightened the burden in so many ways. The hospital stays, myriads of tests and procedures, and meds have been taken care of, thanks to all of you.
Chris started chemotherapy on Fri. Next week with or without insurance Chris will undergo a procedure called chemoembolization which will directly target the cancer with beads of chemo.
Thanks to all your prayers and well-wishes, Chris has his dukes up and is ready for a K.O.
We’ll keep you updated on his progress.
